    About Kim

After spending 30 years continually assisting friends and family in clearing the clutter and organizing their homes, Kim created Joyful DOWNSIZING and was certified as an Organizational Specialist. Living an organized life is the only way Kim knows how to live. WHY? Having moved 26 times in 67 years (both domestic and international), downsizing has been a frequent part of her life. Kim’s clients praise her expertise in decluttering, downsizing, and dealing with the challenge of “letting go” as being extremely efficient, organized, and resourceful in the most pleasant way. Here’s what Wayne from Gilbert had to say:

“Kim was so helpful when downsizing twice – from a single family to Assisted Living in 2015 and to Memory Care home in 2020. Immediately, she gave us a spatial concept of what to take and what to remove. By minimizing our stuff six months before every move, each process went very smoothly”.

Kim Kubsch, Owner And Writer Of Getting Your Life Together Organizer: Make it Easy to Wrap Up Your Well-Lived Life

Five Star Review Kim was an absolute lifesaver!! I was blown away by her fast progress. First she unpacked the 60 boxes in the garage, sorted through all rooms for personal momentos and treasures, did postings to sell furniture and then orchestrated an estate sale. All the little details that Kim took care of helped me during this very stressful time of transitioning my Mother. She was indeed a JOY to work with.“

    Andrea, Chandler AZ

Five Star Review I highly recommend Kim Kubsch as a moving consultant. She was absolutely wonderful. she made my move so much simpler by all of her advice and her actual physical presence in helping me move and place furniture in my new place. So if you’re moving from Sun Lakes definitely contact Kim to work as you’re moving consultant she is absolutely great.“

    Don, Sun Lakes AZ

Five Star Review Usually moving across country is a stressful process. By hiring Kim Kubsch of Joyful Downsizing, it was a very smooth process spread over three months. First Kim created a transition timeline, recommended moving companies, arranged on-site meetings with an auction house and estate sale company. She also listed our golf cart and washer dryer on sites for sale, entertained the inquiries and even arranged for a transporter to drive our car to from AZ to WA. Each process was smooth and was managed every step of the way by Kim. We were able to embark on our journey prior to the packing and loading days as she was on-site to manage that entire process with the moving company. Too bad we can’t have her here to help us in WA! We are thrilled with how Kim made our transition JOYFUL and recommend you hire her too.“

C & H, formerly Sun Lakes, now Bonney Lake WA

Five Star Review Kim with Joyful Downsizing is amazing! As an out-of-state executor of my parents estate, we were so fortunate to have found Kim. From our 1st contact, we knew we found an amazing professional who was so instrumental in de-cluttering our parents home. Kim assisted me daily with the endless decisions of what to keep, what to sell and furthermore what to donate. Kim went above and beyond with many, many small details. Such as assisting with finding appraisals for coins, artwork and finding buyers for vehicles and a golf cart! She not only knows everyone, but more importantly the right “everyone’s”. Why wouldn’t you use Kim from Joyful Downsizing for your particular needs!“

    Karen, Chandler

    Molly, Chandler

Five Star Review For my move from my single-family home to a Senior Independent Living community, Kim’s expertise in downsizing and moving was extremely efficient, organized and resourceful in the most pleasant way. She guided me to keep the objects bringing joy and allow others to be passed on to others so that they may bring them joy as well. This process really allowed me to simplify my life.“

    Dorothy, Sun Lakes AZ

Five Star Review Organizing of documents, paper, files, both paper and electronic are a stumbling block for me. Kim truly simplified my electronic world for the rest of my life. She reorganized my entire desktop so I can easily locate what I need.”

    Mary, Chandler, AZ

Five Star Review I used Kim’s service and it is now a pleasure to visit my pantry closet. She accomplished so much in just 3 hours. I have been ill, and all I had to do is sit in my kitchen. Kim did it all, even took things for donation. Have her come and visit for a assessment, you will be more than pleased.”

    Linda, Sun Lakes AZ

Five Star Review Great job Kim! I love the work you did. I am so happy so much of what would have been tossed went to great use to those in need! I will get a check out to you in the next day or two. Thanks again!”

    Brian, Gurnee IL

Five Star Review So thankful my friend told me about Kim to help me move from Sun Lakes back east. She did all the heavy lifting, helped me pack personal items ahead of the movers, took loads to donation and consignment and returned my cable boxes. Best of all, she helped me think through so many details involved in downsizing and moving across country. She is very flexible and a joy to work with – I highly recommend Kim of Joyful Downsizing!”

    Ellie T, Sun Lakes

Five Star Review I decided to sell my home in Sun Lakes but did not have an opportunity to go to my home to pack my belongings. Thankfully I was able to meet Kim at my home via FaceTime and we went through every room, every closet, every cabinet, and every drawer. I decided what I wanted to keep and what I wanted to either throw out or donate to charity. Kim then organized and packed everything and arranged for shipping to me in Chicago. Everything arrived in perfect condition and in perfect order. And Kim was efficient with her time. I couldn’t have done it without Kim and highly recommend her!
