After spending 30 years continually assisting friends and family in clearing the clutter and organizing their homes, Kim created Joyful DOWNSIZING and was certified as an Organizational Specialist. Living an organized life is the only way Kim knows how to live. WHY? Having moved 26 times in 67 years (both domestic and international), downsizing has been a frequent part of her life. Kim’s clients praise her expertise in decluttering, downsizing, and dealing with the challenge of “letting go” as being extremely efficient, organized, and resourceful in the most pleasant way. Usually moving across country is a stressful process. By hiring Kim Kubsch of Joyful Downsizing, it was a very smooth process spread over three months. First Kim created a transition timeline, recommended moving companies, arranged on-site meetings with an auction house and estate sale company. She also listed our golf cart and washer dryer on sites for sale, entertained the inquiries and even arranged for a transporter to drive our car to from AZ to WA. Each process was smooth and was managed every step of the way by Kim. We were able to embark on our journey prior to the packing and loading days as she was on-site to manage that entire process with the moving company. Too bad we can’t have her here to help us in WA! I decided to sell my home in Sun Lakes but did not have an opportunity to go to my home to pack my belongings. Thankfully I was able to meet Kim at my home via FaceTime and we went through every room, every closet, every cabinet, and every drawer. I decided what I wanted to keep and what I wanted to either throw out or donate to charity. Kim then organized and packed everything and arranged for shipping to me in Chicago.
